Clock-Spring FFC Validation Testbed

Designed and built a testbed to validate flex-flat-cable clock-spring wiring for humanoid actuators.

SCOPE
  • Simulates continuous-rotation wear on FFC clock-spring wiring
  • Stepper-driven copper disc fixture, integrated to factory PLCs for automated cycles
  • Integrated continuous-rotation wiring into production robots

Fin-Stabilized Mortar System

Designed the mortar and tube hardware to teach the humanoid a live fire-support task: CAD to inert, dimensionally accurate prints, then handed off to the robot to run the sequence itself.

SCOPE
  • Fin-stabilized shells and tubes modeled in CAD, FEA on load-bearing parts
  • Inert prints validate geometry, fit, and stabilization before machined metal
  • Captured the human demonstration, then transferred the task to the humanoid

01 // OPERATOR - HARRISON

Operator running the manual firing sequence with the mortar tube, recorded as the demonstration used to train the humanoid.

CAPTURE
  • Full motion logged: loading, aligning the tube, and firing
  • Multiple takes across angles and hand positions
EXECUTION
  • Reproduces the loading, aiming, and firing motion end to end
  • Runs autonomously with no operator in the loop

02 // HUMANOID - PHANTOM MK1

Phantom MK1 executing the same firing sequence autonomously after training on the operator demonstration.
